Delhi Development Authority has been providing uniform for its group-D employees, staff car drivers, gardeners, security guards and Peons and group-C and group-B front desk staff.
"Till now there was no uniformity in colour of the uniform for a particular category and the purchase was done only from government emporiums.
"Now, in a bid to make a corporate image of the Delhi Development Authority, it has been decided that the uniform/dress for the approximately 7,000 eligible staff must be of a reputed brand and contemporary style. And, uniformity in colour, design is also maintained for each category," DDA said in a statement today.
"Immediately after NIFT finalises the colour, design, and other details, tenders will be floated from open market i.E. directly from authorised dealers, mills, government emporiums, and other places," it said.
Last year, DDA had redone sections of its office interiors in its bid to send out a corporate-style functioning image to people.
