A Nigerian was apprehended by the CISF at a Delhi Metro station for allegedly carrying cocaine, a senior official said today.
N C Remigius (25) was intercepted at the Rajiv Chowk station yesterday after a security personnel found some "unusual padding" in his socks during frisking.
A total of 12 small sachets, containing about 11 grams of drugs suspected to be cocaine, was recovered from the Nigerian man along with Rs 78,680 in cash and three mobile phones.
The man, who came to India on a business visa in May this year, has been handed over by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to the police. He was booked under anti-narcotics charges and arrested, the official said.
The man was living in Uttam Nagar area here, he added.
