Nine die of mysterious disease in Bihar

Nine persons have died due to a mysterious disease at Bahurupia in East Champaran district in the past 24 hours, official sources said today.
All the nine people, including four women, died with symptoms of sore throat and excessive sweating, the sources said.
Villagers cremated the body of the woman last evening, but bodies of eight others have been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of the death, police said.
District Magistrate Shridhar S and Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar have rushed to the village to enquire about the matter.
