Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today emphasised linking beneficiaries of all kinds of government assistance with Aadhaar card for which the state is making continuous efforts.
Kumar informed the state Legislative Council that after completion of Aadhaar seeding, all anomalies in list of beneficiaries would be removed.
The state government is making continuous efforts to prepare Aadhaar card for every citizen and for this several centres have been opened.
The CM exhorted public representatives to help in publicity for this purpose.
Earlier, in reply to a question of BJP's Mangal Pandey, Food and Civil Supplies minister Madan Sahni said that the state government is installing Electronic Point of Sale (EPS) machines in 59 Public Distribution System (PDS) outlets in Noorsarai block in Nalanda district as part of a pilot project.
Later, this facility would be extended in all PDS outlets across Bihar, he said.
The Food minister said that as per 2011 census, a total number of 55,312 PDS outlets are needed in Bihar out of which 41,725 are functioning at present.
The process is on for opening rest of the outlets, he added.
