"We are hoping for better days and expect SEBI will do the needful to revive the 106-year old bourse of the country," CSE stock broker S K Kausik told PTI.
"This is the second time since 1908, since the exchange was incepted that there was no Muhurat trading. We had not missed muhurat of our own trading platform despite extreme odds," grim CSE employees said.
CSE MD and CEO, B Madhav Reddy said the exchange was taking measures to overcome the clearing corporation hurdle.
But, the local bourse was trying to tie up with an existing clearing corporation but SEBI needs to be supportive.
Meanwhile, the CSE was planning to tie up with National Institute for Securities Market to conduct capital market courses in Kolkata.
"We had early discussion in this regard. But, it is yet to take any shape," Reddy said.
