No proposal to shift DU colleges to other university: Sisodia

Rubbishing reports of few Delhi University colleges being shifted to Ambedkar University, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the government is not considering any such proposal.
"Completely baseless rumours being spread by vested interests abt some colleges to be shifted fm DU to any other varsity. NO such proposal," Sisodia, who is also the Education minister said on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Sisodia's tweet comes in wake of few media reports citing a proposal that 12 Delhi University colleges funded by the government will be shifted under Ambedkar University soon and DU will take over the administrative control of 16 partially-funded colleges.

"Our government is committed to respect the autonomy of educational institutions," Sisodia said in another tweet.
