"There is no question of infringement. I don't think," Gogoi told reporters when asked about his view on the argument of the states' opposing the proposed National Counter Terrorism Centre.
The Chief Minister said that the states have got "enough autonomy" and the constitutional authority could not be infringed.
"States have enough autonomy. I was there for three years when NDA was there (at the Centre). What about the constitutional authority given to the states. Who can take (it) unless the Constitution is amended," he asked.
The BJP also alleged that Congress was playing politics and being "double-faced" on the issue due to which the anti-terror fight was being weakened and said it was meaningless to debate the "imaginary federalism-versus- terrorism" issue.
