A.Baskar said police suspended traffic movement to enable chief minister N Rangasamy's car to cross the junction.
The entire traffic flow was suspended for nearly 25 minutes. The member said he happened to be present at the site and got out of his vehicle to regulate traffic and questioned the necessity for police to hold up traffic just for the movement of the Chief Minister's car.
When he kept on raising the issue during zero hour, Speaker V Sabapathy intervened, saying "You cannot make a discourse or a long lecture," and switched over to the next part of the agenda and asked Government Whip G.Nehru to proceed.
AIADMK Deputy legislature party leader A Anbalagan, who is Baskar's elder brother, pacified him following which he returned to his seat.
The House was drowned in noisy scenes withe members of the ruling AINRC, including Ministers, disputing the complaint of the AIADMK member.
