Director Divya Khosla Kumar says the temperamental nature of Rishi Kapoor, who will be seen in her next film "Sanam Re", is justified as he looks for perfection in work.
Kapoor has donned the look of an 80-year-old man in upcoming film "Sanam Re". Kapoor is known for his temperament but Divya had no issues while working on the film with the veteran actor.
"He is a strict person... He is a perfectionist. He wants perfection. I agree with it. I am also a strict person and I look to make everything perfect. There were times when he got angry on sets but I did not feel he was wrong," Divya told PTI in an interview here.
"He asks a lot of questions. I was happy that he raised his doubts. I don't think it was difficult to direct him. His talent and experience helped us a lot," she said.
Kapoor is playing the role of a grandfather in the love story.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, "Sanam Re" stars Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela.
The "Yaariyaan" director reveals she took her producer husband Bhushan Kumar's help in reaching out to Kapoor for her upcoming film.
"I used Bhushan's connection and asked him to talk to him (Rishi Kapoor). But he refused it that time saying he doesn't want to play a grandfather. But surprisingly he came and heard the narration and liked the film," she adds.
The film is scheduled to release on February 12.
