A wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh was killed in an encounter with police here on Monday, an official said.
Harikesh alias Master was with his two accomplices when he was surrounded by a police team near a forest area in Bindtolia, he said.
The police said that during the gunfight, Harikesh was killed.
While one accomplice was injured, another managed to escape, they said.
Master had 18 criminal cases including that of murder and loot pending against him and he was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, they said.
