The sales counter of Prasar Bharati was inaugurated this morning by S C Panda, CEO Prasar Bharati and F Sheheryar, DG AIR, a statement said here today.
Located on the Akashvani Bhawan premises on New Delhi's Parliament Street, this newly-built structure is expected to fulfil the objectives of bringing the rare archival assets of All India Radio and Doordarshan to public domain through its commercially released ACDs, DVDs and VCDs.
The Prasar Bharati Archives began its journey of showcasing its many precious nuggets in 2003.
This rich archival splendour consists of the recordings of Ramacharitmanas, Bharat Ek Khoj, Ustad Bismillah Khan, Vidushi M S Subbulakshmi, Begum Akhtar, M Balamuralikrishna and many other renowned maestros, the statement added.
