In a brawl involving two groups of African nationals, a few men were injured and a private nursing home vandalised in south Delhi's Saket area, police said today.
Some African nationals went to the nursing home on Saturday evening for treatment after they were injured in a fight between two groups of Africans at an eatery in Mehrauli, they said.
They returned from the nursing home complaining that the health services were costly, the police said.
While they were coming back, they spotted another African man of the rival group who was coming towards the nursing home in an auto, and tried to attack him, they said.
They allegedly chased him as he tried to save himself by running inside the hospital.
According to a CCTV camera footage, a group of African men were seen carrying rods, sticks and sharp-edged objects at the nursing home premises, a senior police official said.
The official said that four CCTV camera footages have been recovered from the spot that captured the incident.
The furniture and other items at the reception of the nursing home were damaged during the brawl. They also thrashed another man, the police said.
The police is trying to verify the nationality of the men. One of them has been found to be a Nigerian and is admitted at the Safdurjung Hospital, the official said.
A case has been registered for rioting and trespassing, at the Saket police station and a few people have been detained, he said.
