The objections were filed with the UP Pollution Control Board, Environment Directorate UP and District Magistrate Ghaziabad.
RKD president Haji Arif alleged there is a violation of environment norms in the entire process.
He said the project can endanger the flora and fauna of the area, which in turn will adversely affect health of the people.
The Alipur Dam, which is situated at the mining area too could be endangered, he said.
Gram Pradhan of Pachayar village Satish Chand said there were already cracks in the Alipur dam which could be further damaged due to the "mindless sand mining" and could "cause heavy flood in the area".
