One abducted by Karbi militants for ransom

An employee of a small tea grower has allegedly been kidnapped by Karbi People's Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militants, police said today.
Kamal Rajput was abducted at Burhapahar in Nagaon district last night by KPLT militants, who have made a ransom demand of Rs 60 lakh.
The police were trying to rescue him.
