Addressing a press conference here, Superintendent of Police (Hisar) Manisha Choudhary said the accused would be produced in the local court tomorrow to seek his custody.
He, however, refused to divulge more about the accused saying revealing the identity at this stage could hamper the ongoing investigations in the "sensitive" matter.
On December 9, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed in Uklana.
The incident came to light when passersby noticed the body of the girl on a deserted street.
The doctors who conducted the postmortem said the accused inserted a wooden stick into the girl's private parts, which ruptured her intestine.
