One arrested with fake currency in JK's Rajouri

A person was arrested today after fake currency in new denomination notes, worth Rs 41,900 recovered from him in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, a senior police officer said.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, Yougal Manhas said the police was busy in routine vehicle checking at Jaglanoo village of Kandi when they noticed a pedestrian moving around in suspicious circumstances.

"On noticing a police party, he tried to flee but was chased and arrested," the officer said, adding that the accused was identified as Altaf Hussain of Muradpur village
