One killed at unmanned railway crossing

A 35-year-old person was killed when the pickup van he was travelling in was hit by a train at an unmanned railway crossing in Mansi-Katihar section of the East Central Railway (ECR) today.
The incident occurred at Pitojhiya dhala when the goods train, on way to Katihar from Mansi, hit the van which was crossing the tracks at that time, Pasraha Police Station in-charge Ramdular Prasad said.
Hareram Kumar of Pasraha village, who was travelling in van, was killed and his body was handed over to the GRP, he said.
