One killed over panchayat poll rivalry in UP

A 22-year-old man was shot dead by three assailants allegedly over panchayat poll rivalry, in Vahipur village, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the victim, Lalit, was at a marriage function in Dhanari area.
Police said that a case has been lodged against three accused and the key culprit, Jarnail Singh, has been arrested.
