Haryana is expecting a spike in foreign investments from China after over 100 small and medium enterprises here agreed to invest over USD 1 billion in the state.
The assurance was given to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who is visiting the country alongwith a business delegation, to attract foreign investment in the state, according to a press release issued by the state government.
The chief minister interacted with business leaders and Indian diaspora based here to encourage them to invest in the state and take advantage of the new business friendly administration.
Over 100 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from as diverse fields as textiles, general engineering, auto components, and IT, have decided to consider shifting their units to the state after meeting the chief minister, the statement said.
Khattar made a strong pitch for Haryana as an ideal investment destination based on its strategic location, excellent infrastructure and supportive administrative system.
He praised the entrepreneurs and business leaders for their efforts in carving a niche for themselves and invited them for attending the Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit scheduled for March 7 and 8, in Gurgaon.
As many as eight MoUs were signed yesterday with top Chinese companies to set up a USD 10 billion industrial park and smart cities in the state.

Chinese city of Shaoxing and Haryana's Rewari will have sister city relationship thus further strengthening bilateral relations between India and China, the statement said.
Khattar met Deputy Director of National People's Congress of Shaoxing, Ruan Jian Yong, in Shanghai today.
"We are engaged in friendship city relations with 41 foreign cities from 19 countries but it's regrettable that we have not concluded a friendship city relationship with an Indian city," a written communication in this regard said.
"It is our sincere hope that city of Shaoxing and District Administration Rewari could develop a form of friendship and exchange relationship on the basis of our successful business ties with Haryana State.
"We are convinced that exchanges between governments will facilitate the further development of enterprises in Shaoxing and Rewari, which will undoubtedly enhance our future exchanges and co-operation to a higher level," it said.
Ruan, who handed over the letter to Khattar, said that he would visit Haryana, especially district Rewari, for a sister city arrangement between Shaoxing and Rewari.
