All the 19 councillors, elected in the civic polls held on November 26 last were also sworn-in along with them.
Opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) scored 11 seats in the election to the AMC while the ruling Congress and the Mizoram People's Conference (MPC) combine managed to get eight seats.
The Aizawl Municipal Council, for which the first election was held in 2010, was elevated to a Corporation recently.
