Panther mauls minor to death in Rajasthan

An eight-year-old boy was mauled to death by a panther in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan, police said today.
According to police, the victim was sleeping with his family members in a farm in Madka village of the district, when the panther attacked and dragged him away.
The family members tried to rescue him, but by the time the animal ran away, the boy had died, police said.
His body was recovered from a nearby farm, police said, adding that it has been handed over to family members.
