The protesters, under the banner of Parents' Social Welfare Association, on Saturday handed over the memorandum addressed in the name of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Addressing a gathering of parents, President of the Association Kiran Sharma said that public schools have monopolised the field of imparting education and are bent upon hiking the tuition fee without taking into consideration the paying capacity of the parents.
District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma assured the office bearers of the association that the memorandum will be forward to the CM's office in due course of time.
Furthermore, these schools were not admitting students from poor background.
