On a visit to the ancestral house of Swamiji on Simla Street here, she said quoting Vivekananda "He had said that he had received a lot of support from abroad, while it was his grief that many of at home did not, but he had not lost heart."
"When I had called for parivartan in West Bengal, many had been critical of it. But I had found inspiration in Swamiji's books," Banerjee said.
Banerjee, who has under attack from political opponents on different counts, said that there was no cure for jealousy. "When someone does something for the good of the people, they are pulled down."
