Parliamentarians pay tributes to Ambedkar

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today led parliamentarians in paying floral tributes to B R Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary.
Union ministers Rajnath Singh, M Venkaiah Naidu and Thaawar Chand Gehlot, along with Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, were among others who paid floral tributes at the portrait of Ambedkar in Central Hall of Parliament House.
A booklet carrying the profile of Ambedkar was presented to the dignitaries, a statement said.
Ambedkar's portrait was unveiled in Central Hall by then Prime Minister V P Singh on April 12, 1990.
