Uddhav was speaking at the launch of 'Shiv Arogya Seva', in which doctors in remote areas of the state can connect to the experts in Mumbai through telemedicine facility to discuss their patients' diagnosis and treatment.
The scheme was launched by Uddhav at Sena Bhavan here, where he communicated with the medical experts in Mumbai and doctors in Palghar and Chandrapur districts.
He said the scheme was being launched on a pilot basis in these two districts, following which it would be extended to seven other places.
"The party was committed to its belief of 80 per cent social service and 20 per cent politics. But to serve people we need power. When we come to power, all district hospitals and medical colleges will be linked with this facility," he said.
Uddhav said the party attempts to bring experts from abroad also to connect them with the doctors in Mumbai through telemedicine facility.
Experts in Mumbai can watch live the ECG and blood pressure taken in Chandrapur and Palghar, he said adding that Shiv Sena would help patients to get all the medical facility.
To a question on whether his party would rename the existing Rajiv Gandhi Jivandayee Arogya Yojana with Shiv Arogya Seva, Uddhav said more than changing names, he was interested in change in the government.
