Paswan asks NDA, other parties to vote for Mukherjee, Ansari

He said BJP-backed candidate for the Presidential poll P A Sangma should withdraw his candidature.

"Unanimous elections for the posts of the President and Vice President are the need of the hour. NDA and other parties should work for unanimous election of Pranab Mukherjee for the post of President and Hamid Ansari for the post the Vice President," he told reporters here.

"It will be a matter of happiness that Ansari will be the Vice President for a second time in a row after S Radhakrishnan," he added.
