The decision came following the meeting of Chief Minister Anandi Patel with her council of ministers today in Gandhinagar.
"The state government has decided to take celebrations of such national days to villages. Instead of celebrating national days only at capital towns of a taluka, it will be celebrated in large villages of that taluka in phases," cabinet minister and Gujarat government spokesperson Nitin Patel said.
"To find solutions to their problems and address issues related to the local administration, citizens usually visit district and taluka capitals. To bring transparency in the mechanism of solving problems, ministers will visit district and taluka capitals on a regular basis and supervise the process in the presence of officials," minister Saurabh Patel said.
