A team of doctors today conducted post-mortem of the bodies of four terrorists killed by security forces during the terror attack on the country's strategic air base here.
"The post-mortem of the bodies of four terrorists was held by a team of doctors at civil hospital here," Pathankot Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) R K Bakshi said.
The post-mortem and other reports of the killed terrorists will be handed over to the investigating agencies, Bakshi said.
In all six militants were killed in the attack. While the bodies of four were found to be intact, the remaining two were blown into pieces.
The terrorists, who had sneaked into the country from Indo-Pak border in Pakistan, had attacked Indian Air Force base in Pathankot during the intervening night of January 1 and 2.
They were killed during a counter-operation by Indian forces that lasted for about three days in which seven security personnel were killed.
They were carrying AK-47 rifles, modified Under Grenade Barrel Launcher, pistols, Swiss and commando knives, 40-50 kg of bullets besides 3-4 dozens of magazine and mortars.
