Pb BJP election committee to meet to deliberate on candidates

With Punjab BJP still to announce its candidates for the 2017 Punjab polls, the party's state chief Vijay Sampla has called a meeting of its election committee in Delhi on December 26.
"The committee is expected to deliberate on the names of probable candidates for the 23 assembly segments where the party fields its candidates in Punjab," Punjab BJP secretary Vineet Joshi said.
Preparations for the Assembly polls will also be discussed during the meeting, he said.
"Besides, the committee is expected to draw a comprehensive strategy keeping in mind the political situation prevailing in the state as well as the country," he said.
