The Government issued strict directions to all department heads in this regard, an official spokesman said here.
The spokesman said that it has come to the notice of the Chief Secretary that various departments were not putting up within the stipulated time frame the cases related to contempt notices issued by the Supreme Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court.
He said that the delay in these serious matters caused much trouble in presenting the actual situation before the courts.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has issued stern directions to all concerned officials to immediately bring to the notice of the Chief Secretary such matters in which notices were issued by Courts, the spokesman said.
He also said that all Administrative Secretaries would ensure that such orders/notices are put before the Chief Secretary immediately.
