However, IAF spokesperson Wing Commander Gerard Gallway denied that the JWO was possessing war plans of the IAF and sensitive information about the SU-30MKIs deployed in the Northeast.

"During surprise checks around in November, an IAF team found a Junior Warrant officer (JWO) possessing CDs-- not allowed to be carried by our personnel, containing certain restricted information after which a CoI was ordered against him," an IAF official said here.

Sources said the CoI found the JWO guilty of "breaching IT security" and has submitted its report with the Air headquarters which will take further action against him.

They said two other officials have also been found responsible for acts of ommision.

Gallway said, "There is no espionage angle as is being suggested in certain reports and there was no such information contained in those CDs," he said.

As per IAF rules, possession of CDs, pen drives or any storage material is prohibited.
