Petition against "Bol Bachchan" over lawyer-bashing scene

According to Manish Purohit, counsel for the petitioner Mahmood Khan, a scene in the very beginning of the film shows Abhishek beating up a lawyer, who was incidentally fighting his case in a court.

The scene appeared offensive to Khan and defamatory to the image and prestige of lawyers and the profession of law.

Demanding an immediate drop down of the scene, Khan moved a petition in the court of ACJM, which admitting the petition, has fixed August 4 for the recording of the statements of the petitioner.

Before this, a similar petition was filed against films such as Emraan Hashmi-starrer "Shanghai", Akshay Kumar-starrer "Rowdy Rathore" and many more terming some scene or songs were offensive to the sentiments of people.
