Pi Datacentres Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kalyan Muppaneni said the company would invest Rs 600 crore in the datacentre and operations would commence from April 2016.
The datacentre would be a purpose-built greenfield facility with a constructed area of more than 5 lakh square feet, powered by a dedicated on-site electricity sub-station that can support up to 60 MW.
The site would host a facility which is being described as South India's first Tier-4 certified datacentre infrastructure platform built to global standards.
"Our facility will create job opportunities for over 300 highly skilled employees and indirect employment to more than 2,000 people living in surrounding areas. We aim to achieve USD 100 million in revenues by end of 2018 and also plan to expand our operations depending on our customer requirements," Muppaneni said.
