Das, who was in the national capital, also invited the Prime Minister to inaugurate the bridge on the Ganga river in Sahebganj in January 2017 which the latter accepted.
"After demonetisation, the state has started 'cashless Jharkhand campaign' from December 2 to promote cashless transaction. The Prime Minister congratulated the Chief Minister for the campaign," an official statement said.
Das met Modi in his office inside Parliament.
"During the meeting, Das requested Modi to inaugurate the bridge on the Ganga river in Sahebganj in January which the Prime Minister accepted," the statement said.
