Modi, who had telephoned Paul to offer his condolence immediately after the tragedy on Sunday last, met Paul in his hotel here.
"He was very generous, unbelievable warm and kind," Lord Paul said after meeting the Prime Minister at Taj St James' Hotel in London, where Modi was staying during his three-day UK visit.
Top Indian leaders including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Ministers -- Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh -- and others have conveyed their condolence to Paul. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Farooq and Omar Abdullah have also conveyed their grief.
