'PM's Pak visit solid beginning to improve ties with

BJP youth wing's President Anurag Thakur today hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's surprise visit to Pakistan and said it was a "solid" beginning for improving relations with the neighbouring countries.
The Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh said that through this beginning, the future will bring positive results and both the countries will fight the menace of terrorism together.
He was addressing people at a programme organised by BJP workers at A C Nagar. BJP Yuva Morcha National Treasurer Yashvir Dagar was also present on the occasion.
Modi had yesterday sprung a surprise with a 150-minute visit to Lahore where he greeted his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on his birthday and held talks during which they decided to open ways for peace for the "larger good" of the people of the two countries.

"Both the countries wish to live a life full of peace and prosperity, but terrorism is spreading poison and damaging the peace," Thakur said.
He said the need of the hour is to fight the menace of terrorism together.

"Through his Pakistan visit, Modi has sent a message to the entire world that the menace of terrorism can be fought together, and friendly relations can be maintained with the neighbouring countries," he said.
Regarding the DDCA row, he charged, "Kirti Azad is just an excuse, the AAP wants to save the Delhi Chief Minister. Kejriwal spearheads the party of corrupt politicians. There are cases against five MLAs of his party while one MLA is accused of domestic violence."

Thakur blamed the Congress for non passage of the GST Bill in the winter session of Parliament.
"The GST Bill should have been passed in the Winter session but the Congress did not let Parliament function for a month. If the GST Bill would have been passed, then from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, there would have been no need for the trucks to halt in any state," he said.
If the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill would have been passed timely, then the juvenile convict in the Nirbhaya gang-rape would not have been released, he further said.
