Prime Minister Narendra Modi will offer worship at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at nearby Tirumala on January 3.
Modi, who will be here for the inauguration of the 104th Indian Science Congress on January 3, would visit Tirumala on an hour-long pilgrimage in the afternoon, a top temple administration official said today.
The Prime Minister would offer prayers at the hill shrine and return to New Delhi, TTD Chairman Chadalawada Krishmurthy told PTI here.
This is Modi's second visit to the ancient temple since he became Prime Minister in 2014. He had earlier offered worship at the shrine on October 22 last year.
The Science Congress is being held at the Sri Venkateswara University here from Jan 3 to 7.
