The CID had served the summons to Bhattacharya, a former MLA from South Basirhat, last week in connection with their probe into the alleged scam regarding PMAY that surfaced in the Basirhat area in North 24-Parganas district.
According to CID sources, Bhattacharya was today asked if he had any clue about the scam and whether he had informed his party about the same or not.
"He has given us the name of a senior BJP leader with whom he had spoken to about the scam, which took place in Basirhat area," a CID officer said adding, the entire around two-hour-long questioning session of Bhattacharya was recorded.
Paul was allegedly misleading villagers by promising homes under PMAY and had collected money from them.
