Police announce cash reward on absconding Block Pramukh

A cash reward of Rs 5,000 was today announced for policemen who could arrest an absconding Block Pramukh accused of beating up the Block Development Officer of Chaubeypur.
Several teams of police are on the lookout of Block Pramukh Mukesh Yadav and the team which succeeds in nabbing him will be rewarded with Rs 5,000 in cash, SSP Shalabh Mathur said.
Kripa Shanker Rajput, BDO of Chaubeypur area, on December 17 alleged that he was beaten up at his office by Yadav who also took away Rs 70,000 cash kept for government works.
Yadav, reportedly associated with Samajwadi Party, had called Rajput to his home but being busy with official work, he couldn't visit following which the Pramukh accompanied by his supporters came to the BDO office and beat him up.
A case has been registered against Yadav and investigation was underway although no one has been arrested yet.
Rajput was admitted to the hospital from where he was discharged.
