Police, Assam Rifles arrest man with arms and ammunition

A joint team of state police and 36 Assam Rifles today arrested a person after arms and ammunition were seized from his possession at Indisen village here.
In a joint operation, the police and 36 Assam Rifles conducted a raid at Indisen village and arrested a person. The team seized an AK-47 rifle with magazine, one M-16 rifle, two magazines of .22 pistol, 17 cartridges and four barrels from his possession, Assam Rifles Public Relations Officer said.
The accused has been handed over to the police for further investigation, the officer said.
