Police detain luxury cars on East Coast Road

: Luxury car owners who were proceeding towards Mahabalipuram on the scenic East Coast Road here, were detained for several hours for 'over speeding', police said today.
As many as 10 luxury car owners driving Lamborghinis, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Ferrari and were going towards Mahabalipuram from a resort on the East Coast Road were stopped near Uthandi for 'over-speeding', police said.
A heated argument ensued between the police and those who drove the car as the police detained the cars.
A police official attached to the Kanathur Police Station said no case has been registered and the car owners were let off after they were issued a stern warning.
