Police officer injured in militant attack in J-K

A police officer was tonight injured in a militant attack in south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
A police party came under attack by militants when they were going to investigate gunshots heard in Dadsara village in Awantipora area of Pulwama, a police official said.
He said Sub-inspector Nazeer Ahmed was injured in the attack.
The injured officer has been taken to Army's 92 Base Hospital here, the official said, adding further details of the incident were awaited.
