While the investigating police officer has issued notices under Section 160 of CrPC to at least 13 persons believed to be operating sand quarries of the brothers, two police teams are now tracking the movements of the brothers' associates, who are now absconding and gone out of State.
"Two police teams from the city are now out of the State and are on the lookout of the absconding associates of the D-brothers", said Cuttack city DCP Sanjiv Arora.
The DCP added at least 13 persons, five from outside the state, have been issued notices to appear before the IO to record their statements.
"During investigations, we are verifying various aspects and whenever it is required to examine somebody, we are summoning and recording his statements", Arora said.
