Kiran Kumar, Sub-Inspector of Police at the Railway police station in Mancheryal of Adilabad district was caught red-handed by ACB officials when he demanded and accepted a sum of Rs 30,000 as bribe from a complainant for doing an official favour "to furnish the copy of FIR, Inquest report and final report of the complainant's deceased husband," the ACB said in a statement here.
After the recovery of bribe amount from the accused officer, he was subsequently arrested and is being produced before a local court, the ACB said, adding that further investigations are on.
