Ahana, a trained Odissi dancer, married the Delhi-based businessman in a part-South Indian, part-Punjabi ceremony in Mumbai on February 2. The venue of the newly married couple's reception party in the capital was the groom's farm house near Kapashera border. Ahana wore a pastel green ball gown while her husband looked dapper in a tuxedo.
Besides senior BJP leader Advani and Abdullah, others political dignitaries like Renuka Choudhary, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Praful Patel and Suresh Kalmadi were also present.
Ahana's half-brothers, Sunny and Bobby Deol, however, chose to skip the wedding as well as the reception in Mumbai and Delhi.
Ahana and Vaibhav's reception in Mumbai witnessed some high profile guests from both Bollywood and politics with BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with wife Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Rekha, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha attending the fuction.
