Pondy BJP holds fast over Parliament logjam
BJP functionaries today observed a day-long fast here to protest the "disruption" of Parliamentary proceedings by the Opposition parties.
The three nominated BJP MLAs - V Saminathan (also Puducherry BJP unit chief), K G Shankar and S Selvaganapathy - and leaders of different wings of the party were among those who participated in the fast.
Demonstrations were also held to condemn the stalling of House proceedings.
Police were deployed at the venue of the fast.
