Pondy CM, LT Guv pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi

Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 70th death anniversary here today.
Territorial assembly Speaker V Vaithilingam, Ministers, MLAs, freedom fighters and government officials were among those who paid tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi here.
They also observed silence for a couple of minutes in memory of the Mahatma.
PCC president and PWD Minister A Namassivam led party workers and legislators to pay homage at the portrait of the Mahatma on the premises of the PCC office here.
