The shuttle will ply between Tirunallar Bus Stand and Nalan Kulam (the sacred tank) while another service will be between Nalan Kulam and Tirunallar temple on all Saturdays and other festival days, he said.
Noting that Tirunallar attracts lakhs of pilgrims on Saturdays, the Minister said the Puducherry Government was keen on improving the facilities in the town.
Due to heavy rush and humid weather, pilgrims find it difficult to walk to Nalan Kulam from the bus stand and all the way to the temple premises after taking a holy dip at the tank. The free shuttle will help them in a big way, he said.
