Party's city unit President Surendra Maithani said that unknown persons allegedly blackened one of the posters depicting the Prime Minister and several hoardings portraying the BJP President were defaced at Mall Road, VIP Road, Jajmau and other areas of the city.
District administration and police have been informed about the matter, he said, adding that people involved in the incident are yet to be identified.
The posters and hoardings which were defaced have been removed and new ones have been put in their place, Maithani said.
Over 500 BJP leaders and workers are expected to attend the meet.
