Power supply glitch hits Metro services in Kolkata

All three power units of the 750 MW Budge Budge power station of CESC here tripped at 9.53 AM this morning following a network disturbance, leading to disruption in metro services.
Metro services were disrupted between 9.53 AM to 10.08 AM. The power glitch affected mostly the northern parts of the city, according to CESC officials.
There was no information about any major load-shedding in hospitals, they said.
Restoration process began immediately and the power supplies were restored within 15 minutes of the glitch.
"All supplies have been restored by about 10.30 AM, officials said.
